MelissaThe 13th Philadelphia Live Arts – Fringe Festival kicked off tonight with a bonafide artistic hit The Gonzales Cantata by composer Melissa Dunphy.    Huge laughs filled the Rotunda at the absurdities and hyprocisies of this operatic rendition of the Alberto Gonzales hearing.    But the power of Dunphy’s music, played lushly by chamber orchestra and conducted by the composer herself, is transfixing.   The audience was completely tuned into the politics and the art.  A rare evening at the theater – complete engagement and an artistic statement.
