“Daddy you won the Nobel Peace Prize and it’s Beau’s birthday.”   Malia Obama waking up the President this morning with the news

Answering his critics always ready with a fistfull of mud the President used the occasion in a statement from the Rose Garden to talk about world peace and those who dedicate their lives to it.

“I do not view it as a recognition of my accomplishments…I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of the men and women who have inspired this Prize.”

Bob Dole’s loopy message to Republicans about their tactics to humiliate Obama by opposing health care reform. 

 “Sometimes people fight you just to fight you,” he said. “They don’t want Reagan to get it, they don’t want Obama to get it, so we’ve got to kill it…Health care is one of those things…Now we’ve got to do something.”
