as its skin evaporates

in the distance a key figure

panics and flees

below the fjord, 13 seedlings

pierce the ice.

The arm reaches

out of the pool

blocking the moon

with a mask

to caste the image

over the water

stone slabs marked with sanskrit

stand on the surface and

arch in shadow

 around the pale limb

for the offering of the

unseen temple.
